With a keen interest in functional art and design, Sophie is excited to expand 175Design’s product offering, while continuing build the business to maintain quality, efficiency and design excellence. Sophie is also instrumental in establishing design workflows and systems for project management across all 175Design projects, with a view to maximising the studio’s output and efficiency.

  • Having been part of 175Design for over 6 years, Renee brings expertise in technical fabrication with a specialisation working with brass, steel and copper. Renee oversees production workflow, fabrication and installation of all projects, and is experienced in everything from solving complex technical issues to navigating the complexities of building sites.

As well as being an experienced fabricator, Renee is passionate about design, with a background in computational design and animation and her own concurrent practice as a contemporary jeweller.

  • With experience as a designer and documenter working in public art and projects within the built environment, Lew fulfills a vital role throughout the detailed design documentation process. Lew brings expertise across 3D and parametric modelling and a strategic approach to automated documentation workflows. He ensures that quality and efficiency are maintained throughout documentation to enable seamless fabrication.

Lew also assists on the shop floor throughout fabrication and during installation, meaning he has a thorough understanding and appreciation of the end-to-end project delivery process. With a personal interest and family history of metal casting, Lew’s creative interests and unique skill-set compliment 175Design’s growing team perfectly.

Lew holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics Major) from LTU.

  • Otherwise known as Dogface, Doofus and Bigdog, Bowie fulfils many roles at 175Design. High in emotional intelligence, he has a grounding influence on the shop floor, especially when he gets in the way. Lack of spatial awareness aside, Bowie’s presence is (usually) always welcomed in the workshop and studio.
